What is a cookie
A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) sent from a Tetra Pak Website or Tetra Pak App (“Websites / Apps”) and saved in your web browser of your computer or similar devices such as tablet or smart phone.
The existence of a cookie can be temporary during the browser session (session cookie) or saved for a period of time on your computer (persistent cookie).
The cookies that Tetra Pak uses do not harm your computer, tablet or smart phone.
What is the purpose of using cookies and what data are collected?
When you visit any website, it may store or retrieve information on your browser, mostly in the form of cookies. Cookies help make your online experience more efficient and relevant to your interests. For instance, they are used to remember your preferences on sites you visit often, to remember your user ID and the contents of your communication to us, and to help you navigate between pages more efficiently.
We do not collect personal data with the use of our Tetra Pak cookies (e.g. we do not collect your IP address) and at no time do we attempt to identify you individually through our cookies. Third party may be placing cookies on our Websites / Apps and may therefore collect personal data about you such as IP address with the use of their cookies.
See below at the Cookie Categories section the categories, description on purpose and collected data of cookies that Tetra Pak Websites / Apps use.
First party and third party cookies
Cookies can either be first-party cookies or third-party cookies. First-party cookies are placed by our Websites you are visiting or Apps you are using, while they themselves can be operated by third parties on our behalf.
Third party cookies are placed by other parties/websites than the one of ours you are visiting. Third-party cookies are often used by these other parties/websites for advertising, to identify a particular user and use information about how the user consumes content on our Websites / Apps, ultimately for the purpose to display (customised) advertising on their websites.
How to manage the cookie settings?
According to the applicable laws (that we comply with), you can choose not to allow certain types of cookies. If you choose not to receive cookies at any time, the website may not function properly or fully, and certain services will not be provided. Cookie consent preferences are accessible at any time at the bottom of all Tetra Pak Group Websites / Apps pages.
Managing cookie settings in Cookie Settings Form
In the Cookie Settings Form click on the different category headings to find out more and make your settings.
Managing cookie settings in browsers
You can choose how web browser cookies are handled by your device via your browser settings including to refuse or delete all cookies. Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences or follow the instructions provided at: www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/ which provides information for the most common browsers.
Local Storage (Flash and HTML5): The most common browsers clear your locally stored data when you choose to delete/clear your cookies and web browsing data; consult the “Help” function of your browser for more details. Alternatively, you can manage which websites can store information (and how much) in Flash cookies by visiting the settings panel on the Adobe website.
The ‘Do Not Track’ (DNT) function on your web browser
DNT is a feature offered by some browsers which, when enabled, sends a signal to websites to request that your browsing is not tracked, such as by third party ad networks, social networks and analytic companies. This website does not currently respond to DNT requests, however, you may opt-out of tracking for analytics and advertising purposes using the links provided above.
A uniform standard has not yet been adopted to determine how DNT requests should be interpreted and what actions should be taken by websites and third parties. We will continue to review DNT and other new technologies and may adopt a DNT standard once available.
